Self Injury Support / SIFT
The Ella Rose Fund has just agreed to give a grant of £3000 to Bristol-based Self Injury Support (SIS). The vision of SIS is:
That anyone who uses self-injury knows they are not alone;
that everyone understands that self-injury is a complex and important issue we should all care about and that together we tackle both the causes and stigma of self-injury.
They provide emotional, peer and group support to women who self harm and their families.
Update
SIS has changed its name and is now called SIFT.
SIFT - “Our Impact in 2025”
Through our helpline, text and peer support services we listen when others can’t, meeting people where they are.
As mental health services face long waitlists, overstretched staff, and growing social pressures, demand for our support and training has never been higher. Here’s a snapshot of the impact we’re having - helping those affected by self-harm feel truly heard and equipping others to respond with confidence and care.
71% of service users felt less anxious after accessing our Listening Support
89% of clients reported feeling safer since their Peer Support appointment
100% rated our services 4 or 5 out of 5, with an average score of 4.53 in 2025
